This Culture Night, I invite you to experience art in a relaxed way, amidst bacon and gossip. Let's meet in the Halės Market corridor, between the sausage pavilions and Oldskūl cafe. Feel free to come in tracksuits and Crocs. I will show you how paintings reveal their secrets under UV light. When painting, I use paints with fluorescent pigments instead of traditional mediums. In daylight, the vibrant elements visible in the paintings are just small color accents, but after dark, when UV lighting is switched on, the colors begin to glow, and the paintings come alive. Oldskūl will have a fully stocked bar with drinks. It will be the perfect setting for some lighthearted chatter. Since the market's unique atmosphere encourages it, and we feel bolder at night, I will ask attendees to share a secret (or perhaps a piece of gossip or a lie).
