Žolinė (Assumption Day) Hike in Ribiškės with Biologist Martynas Balsys

KOMMON invites you to spend a Žolinė (Assumption Day) afternoon out in nature on a scenic guided hike along one of Vilnius's most interesting trails, together with biologist and scout Martynas Balsys. Although the Ribiškės walking trail is just a few kilometres from the Old Town, the area boasts remarkable plant diversity. We won't rush – our goal is to get to know nature as closely as possible. Biologist M. Balsys will talk about the plants we encounter, how they relate to one another, and how some plants replace others over time. This plant life will help us better understand how the area has developed and the processes taking place within it. The hike will take place on hilly terrain that opens up panoramic views of Vilnius and its surroundings. Stunning views of the city and forests are guaranteed! Important information: – August 15 at 10.30; – The hike starts at Minsko pl. 14, where you'll find spacious parking areas nearby; – We will walk part of the Ribiškės nature trail.
