PAINT AND FRIENDS #5 X AY INSTITUTE: Ukrainian Artists

Summer Sunday afternoons are for slow living, good company, and creativity. That's why „Bernardinų Protmūšiai“ presents a new project, „Dažai ir draugai“, which we'll meet for on summer Sundays at „7 Fridays Vingis“.One of these gatherings will take place together with AY Institute and the international project „A Million Voices“, which aims to amplify the voices of the Ukrainian people and create a space for sensitive dialogue, empathy, and connection through creativity, storytelling, and community.One of the partners for this gathering is the „Blue / Yellow“ organization, which has been supporting Ukraine and its people for many years. With this event, we want to remind everyone of what sometimes becomes easy to forget in daily routines – the war in Ukraine is still ongoing. Today, Ukrainians are fighting not only for their freedom but also for the security and democratic values of all of us.During the event, we will have a „Blue / Yellow“ donation box and QR codes that you can scan to donate quickly and conveniently. No matter the size of your support – every donation contributes to real help for those who need it most today.This Sunday's theme: Paintings by Ukrainian ArtistsWe will get acquainted with the most famous Ukrainian artists, their iconic works, and draw inspiration for our own paintings. This will not only be a creative afternoon but also an opportunity to learn more about Ukrainian culture, art, and stories that resonate with particular importance today.Here, you DO NOT need to be a professional or even have ever been close to a paintbrush or pencil in your life. Our main rule is to meet, socialize, share good vibes, and simply create for your own pleasure.During the session, there will be an interpreter to help translate from Lithuanian to Ukrainian, so that all participants can comfortably engage and feel welcome.Materials: You can bring a sheet of paper and whatever you most want to experiment with – pencils, markers, watercolors, a pen, or other tools.And if you don't have anything – no stress!
