Painting Exhibition "Unfulfilled Love"

"I admire the female body in all its aspects: both as the most aesthetic form, the most beautiful creation of nature, and as an erotic object," says artist Stanislovas Piliutis, who is presenting his works for the first time to a wide audience at the "Unfulfilled Love" exhibition. At the opening of the retrospective exhibition on Monday, May 4, the artist will present almost 30 of his paintings. According to the artist, some of his works reflect his own experiences, while others are an interpretation of contemporary pop culture phenomena; some manifest or shock, while others create an aesthetic experience. Regardless of the theme, the central figure in the vast majority of S. Piliutis's works is a woman. "In my works, a woman is also a symbol of love. That's why I dedicate this exhibition to a love that never was, an illusion that will never be repeated, but also never end. The paintings here become a love letter: unsubtle, direct, and open. Sometimes it's scary to take a decisive step and choose love, but life is too short to let fear control us. Let love control us!" urges the creator. The works presented in the exhibition cover a 10-year creative period by S. Piliutis. The debuting artist recalls starting to paint in his teenage years when he began attending an art studio at the V. Grybas Museum in his hometown of Jurbarkas. Presentation of the "Unfulfilled Love" exhibition – Monday, May 4, at 7 PM, in the Art Gallery located in the Compensa Concert Hall. The exhibition can be viewed until May 29 during events held at the Compensa Concert Hall, or by prior arrangement via phone +37064893339 (weekdays) or +37064780610 (weekends).
