PAINTS AND FRIENDS #8 X AY INSTITUTE: Textured Paintings

Summer Sunday afternoons are made for slow time, good company and creativity. That's why "Bernardinai Brainstorms" presents a new project, "Paints and Friends," where we'll meet on summer Sundays at "7 Fridays Vingis". For the second time, this meetup will take place together with the AY Institute and the international project "A Million Voices," which uses creativity, storytelling and community to amplify the voices of the Ukrainian people and create space for sensitive dialogue, empathy and connection. This Sunday's theme: Textured Painting Using gesso, we'll try to create as many different 3D paintings as possible. Materials: gesso, a small spatula, a palette knife – canvas or cardboard work best. And if you don't have any of this – no stress! We'll have basic supplies on site that you can use for free. You do NOT need to be a professional, or to have ever been particularly close to a paintbrush or pencil in your life. Our main rule is to meet, connect, share good vibes and simply create for the fun of it. A translator will be on hand during the session to help translate from Lithuanian into Ukrainian, so that all participants can join in comfortably and feel welcome.
