Pause. Write. Release.
On July 21st, we invite you to a cozy evening of writing and inner peace at the VU Botanical Garden in Kairėnai. This evening is for those who want to slow down, write out accumulated thoughts, release inner tension, and simply be in nature without rushing. Sometimes there are too many thoughts. They spin, repeat, accumulate. And inside, what you long for isn't another answer, but silence. Writing can become a space where you don't need to formulate thoughts beautifully or be a "writer." It's enough to stop, write down what is present right now, and allow yourself to hear what lies deeper. During the evening, together with writer and psychologist Greta Lietuvninkaitė, we will explore the practice of reflective writing, try out journaling techniques, and discover how text can help create more inner peace. What will you experience this evening? You will learn where to start writing when thoughts are overwhelming. You will try reflective writing techniques that help release tension. You will experience how writing can help you hear yourself better. You will explore how writing can help you discover things you often miss in everyday life. You will create more silence, clarity, and inner peace. You will participate in a cozy small group, where there will be enough space for yourself, for silence, and for listening. You will conclude the evening with a calming meditation to release tension from the body, mind, and inner self. Evening program: 17:00–20:00 Reflective writing practice with Greta Lietuvninkaitė. During the evening, we will write, pause, reflect, and practically try out techniques that help express what is accumulating inside. This is not a creative writing lesson, and you don't need any writing experience. The most important thing is to come as you are right now. 20:00–21:00 Calming evening meditation to release tension from the body, mind, and inner self. The meditation part will help gently conclude the evening, calm the body, and return to inner silence. During the evening, participants will be offered light plant-based snacks – gluten-free, sugar-free, lactose-free, meat-free, and egg-free. The workshop will be led by Greta Lietuvninkaitė. Greta Lietuvninkaitė is a writer, author of the books "Slėpynės" and "Du vandenynai." A creator with a degree in psychology, she has been leading "Write it Out" writing workshops in Iceland since 2019. She recently presented the success story of these workshops at the international "Journaling Festival" in Barcelona. This is a unique opportunity to participate in Greta's first writing workshops in Lithuania. Greta will share reflective writing techniques, which we will practically try out and feel their benefits during the evening. These methods were born in the silence of a distant fjord, where writing became a support even during the darkest time of the year. "Gathering them in handfuls, you can withstand even the darkest winter," Greta jokes. Practical information: Date: July 21st Time: 17:00–21:00 Location: VU Botanical Garden in Kairėnai.
