Placebo | 30th Anniversary Tour British alternative rock band Placebo returns to Vilnius this autumn to celebrate 30 years of creativity. On October 15th at the Twinsbet Arena, they will perform a special anniversary programme dedicated to the band's first and second albums β Placebo and Without You I'm Nothing β which critics and fans still count among their finest work. Nancy Boy, Teenage Angst, 36 Degrees, Every You Every Me, Pure Morning, You Don't Care About Us, Without You I'm Nothing β iconic tracks now inseparable from Placebo's golden catalogue. When Britpop took over the UK in the nineties, Placebo brought radical openness and themes pop music rarely touched: emotional extremes, shifting sexuality, mental health, substance experiences. This courage was most evident in Nancy Boy, a direct response to Britpop's machismo. Brian Molko has described how the band deliberately used their image as a clear political stance on sexual fluidity.
