Playback performance “Pažadai” (Promises)

The applied theatre 4 Rooms presents a Playback (reenactment) performance on the theme of “Pažadai” (Promises).

Playback (reenactment) theatre is a genre of applied theatre based on a unique collaboration between performers and audience. A spectator recounts a story or even a brief moment from their life and immediately watches as their story is recreated on stage, given artistic form and coherence.

How many promises have we made to others, and how many to ourselves? Some we have kept, others we have forgotten, and some still linger in our thoughts. Promises can offer hope, strengthen a bond and inspire change, but sometimes they also become a cause of disappointment, guilt or unfulfilled expectations.

This time, we invite you to look back at the promises that have left their mark on our lives. At those we made and kept, those we broke or are still trying to fulfil. At promises made to loved ones, to ourselves or to those who may no longer be by our side.

Which promise do you remember?

Your stories will become the living foundation of the performance, and we will recreate them on stage.
