Premiere! A Performance of Sounds and Scents "Kosmoso medis"

"Kosmoso medis" – a performance you create We invite you to a sensitive sensory performance of scents and sounds, "Kosmoso medis", adapted for visually impaired viewers. This is a fairy tale about anger – a feeling familiar to everyone, which sometimes grows so large that it begins to control our thoughts, words, and actions. But can anger change? Can we learn to hear each other and choose closeness over separation? There is no traditional stage in this performance that you would observe from a distance. All viewers sit blindfolded, so the performance takes place in your imagination and mind. Here, scents, voices, silence, and sounds emitted by everyday household objects create a unique auditory universe. With your eyes closed, you will be able to hear more: your own thoughts, another person's voice, the sound of objects, and the echo of emotions. You will feel how powerful anger can be and how every one of our words, actions, or feelings leaves a trace around us – like the butterfly effect or the flutter of a bee's wing, capable of affecting the entire universe. The text of the performance, based on Saulės Degutytės's fairy tale "Kvepiantis medis", was woven by playwright Audra Baranauskaitė from Lithuanian folk wisdom and proverbs. We are a tiny particle in an boundless universe. Our life lasts only a moment, so it is worth learning to hear each other, to seek closeness and mutual connection, rather than conflict.
