PREMIERE FOR CHILDREN | The Magic Wand (Evening Y)
What would you do if you had a magic wand? How do you get rid of bad habits? Why did the cooks grate a flowerpot into the salad? These are the questions we will explore in this new premiere by Teatras P. What is this encounter about? Poetry comes alive: We don't believe in dull recitals of poems. We believe a poem can run like a white horse, sprout like a cabbage or swim like a little fish kindling fire. True stories: On stage, the lines of well-known poets will interweave with our own childhood adventures – the real ones, both true and made-up, that only happen when you are a child. Solving things “here and now”: Together with the children we will dive into a whirl of tricky problems and unexpected adventures that only imagination and good spirits can overcome. Why is it worth coming? Balys and Artūras, the founders of Teatras P, have a unique gift for finding a common language with today's children. As theatre critic Dovilė Zaveckaitė notes, their vitality and enthusiasm for poetry are contagious. Here the word becomes the most fascinating toy of all, and the stage a place where nothing is impossible. The mission of Teatras P: To present poetry in such a way that even those who have never read it leave in love with it. So we welcome everyone – poetry fans and the greatest sceptics alike!
