Premiere! Low Life Cabaret LOW LIFE || Puppet Show for Adults

The 'Low Life' cabaret (lit. 'Worthless Life') is an exceptional work by the renowned British puppetry company Blind Summit Theatre, where puppet theatre transcends traditional boundaries and reveals the reality of people existing on the fringes of life. The play's script is inspired by the work of the famous American writer Charles Bukowski – his poetry and prose, full of nihilism, irony, and melancholy. In this performance, audiences encounter various characters living on the margins of society: lonely drunks, defeated gamblers, weary writers, living a hopeless daily life, yet without losing their sarcastic sense of humor. Their stories – both sad and absurdly funny – are told through the unique aesthetic of Blind Summit puppet theatre. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Blind Summit Theatre is an internationally acclaimed troupe, known for its innovative approach to puppet theatre. They employ table top puppetry (lit. 'table theatre') and Western-adapted Japanese bunraku techniques, where puppets are manipulated by several actors, giving them unique expression and fluidity of movement. In 'Low Life', these animation techniques intertwine with live actors, physical theatre, and expressive visual solutions, creating a hypnotic, surreal stage world. Created in London in 2005, 'Low Life' received excellent reviews for its originality, black humor, and profound analysis of human nature. It is a performance designed to provoke, surprise, and engage. 'Low Life' is a journey into the backstage of human existence, where chaos, absurdity, and fleeting glimmers of fragile hope rage.
