Richard and Julia, the heroes of the romantic comedy "Dating Games," have recently officially divorced, but their divorce is merely a formality on paper. Having spent many years married, the couple remain close friends, sincerely wishing each other happiness in new relationships. However, it soon becomes clear that this is far more complicated than it might seem at first glance… Both begin looking for new partners, going on blind dates. Although dating is a great opportunity to find a soulmate, the situation becomes considerably trickier when you have spent several decades married. The former spouses Richard and Julia encounter colorful, and sometimes downright bizarre, dating partners. Each new encounter convinces them further that the whole world of dating is like one big misunderstanding. An increasingly bewildered Richard and a disappointed Julia would have given up long ago if not for their constant support of each other. Will their efforts to find love again end in complete failure? Or will they succeed after all, and beautiful new relationships enter their lives? "Dating Games" is a fun, fast-paced and sharply witty comedy about men and women trying to understand each other, fall for each other, and, if they're lucky, survive until the second date. There will be plenty of mistakes, unexpected twists, triumphs, failures and laughter, because love, like sport, demands endurance, courage and a bit of luck. The play was written by British playwright Peter Quilter, whose works are staged in more than 40 countries, including Broadway and London's West End. Peter Quilter is one of the most frequently staged contemporary playwrights in the world, twice nominated for the prestigious Olivier Award (for Best New Play and Best New Comedy), and his Broadway debut earned no fewer than three Tony nominations.
