DATING GAMES A romantic comedy Director: Evaldas Jaras Cast: Julia – Eglė Mikulionytė, Gintarė Latvėnaitė Richard – Sakalas Uždavinys, Mindaugas Capas Bill, Kevin, David, Nigel, Tim – Mantas Vaitiekūnas Helen, Francie, Kate, Lizzie – Ilona Kvietkutė, Edita Užaitė PREMIERE from 4 December! Richard and Julia, the protagonists of the romantic comedy “Dating Games”, have recently divorced officially, but their separation is a formality on paper only. After many years of marriage, the couple have remained close friends who sincerely wish each other happiness in new relationships. Before long, however, it turns out that this is far more complicated than it might seem at first glance… Both begin looking for new partners by going on blind dates. Although dating is a great way to find a soulmate, the situation becomes considerably trickier when you have spent several decades married. Former spouses Richard and Julia are in for a colourful and at times decidedly odd parade of dating partners. Each new encounter convinces them more and more that the whole world of dating is one big misunderstanding. An increasingly bewildered Richard and a disillusioned Julia would have given up long ago were it not for their constant support of one another. Will their efforts to find love again end in complete fiasco? Or might they succeed after all, and new, beautiful relationships appear in their lives? “Dating Games” is a fun, fast-paced and bitingly witty comedy about the attempts of men and women to understand one another, to fall for one another and, with a bit of luck, to survive until a second date. There will be plenty of mistakes, unexpected turns, triumphs, fiascos and laughter, because love, like sport, demands stamina, courage and a little luck. The play was written by British playwright Peter Quilter, whose works are staged in more than 40 countries, including Broadway and London's West End. Quilter is one of the world's most frequently produced contemporary authors, twice nominated for the prestigious Olivier Award (for Best New Play and Best New Comedy), and his Broadway debut earned as many as three Tony nominations.
