ADULT PREMIERE | The Father (Monodrama)

"The Father" is the latest performance by Teatras P, a blend of poetry, autobiographical stories, and live music. Three creators – director and actor Balys Ivanauskas, saxophonist Kazimieras Jušinskas, and guitarist Justinas Žilys – have crafted a sensitive, vibrant, and humorously lifelike piece, inspired by Mindaugas Nastaravičius's poetry, inviting the audience to search for connection.

**Balys Ivanauskas** is an actor and director actively working in several Lithuanian theatres (Stalo teatras, Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre, Kaunas City Chamber Theatre, etc.). Several of his performances have been nominated for the "Golden Stage Crosses" (Lithuanian national theatre awards). He is also involved in pedagogical activities, teaching theatre classes to children, and is the founder of "Teatras P".

**Justinas Žilys** is a jazz guitarist and educator, performing with numerous ensembles and projects (In albedo, Delasferos, Kafka: Insomnia, solo works).

**Kazimieras Jušinskas** is a young-generation saxophonist actively performing at Lithuanian jazz festivals. He participates in interdisciplinary projects, including director Karolis Kaupinis's films "Radvila Darius, Vytauto", director Kamilė Gudmonaitė's opera "Things I Didn't Dare to Say, and Now It's Too Late", and director Žilvinas Vingelis's play "Kafka Insomnia". His musicianship is characterized by inner expression, spontaneity, a search for unconventional sounds, the ability to integrate into an ensemble's soundscape, and creative thinking. He currently performs actively in free improvisation collectives "Illucid", "DJ Extended feat. Kazimieras Jušinskas", and "Katarsis4", as well as the punk-jazz group "Džiazlaif".

The mission of "Teatras P" is to present poetry in a way that even those who don't usually read it will come to love it. Therefore, we welcome not only poetry lovers but also non-lovers to the performance!
