PREMIERE! Teatras Utopia: ANTIGONE

ANTIGONE | An interpretation of Sophocles' tragedy More than two thousand years later – the question remains the same: what do we choose when power demands silence? The play "Antigone" transports the audience into a vision of a possible near future after the ultimate collapse of democracy – a world where the Third World War has destroyed not only states but also the right to think freely. In a changed world, one woman decides to disobey. This is not just an ancient myth – it is a contemporary reflection on the fragility of democracy and personal responsibility in the face of strengthening authoritarianism. Today, living in a time of war, geopolitical crises, and growing tension, questions of moral choice once again become part of everyday life. The play reflects the mechanisms of a possible future (or perhaps today) and provokes an answer to the question: what do we choose today?
