Rasos Festival in Verkių Manor Park

For the twenty-seventh midsummer, as nature and herbs flourish, bloom, and dew, we invite you to celebrate together the ancient shortest night – the Summer Solstice – festival. Adorn yourselves with wreaths, gather Kupolės of nine herbs, bring your picnic baskets, and come with your families and friends to the lime-scented Verkių Palace Park. FESTIVAL PROGRAM: Competition for various Midsummer wreaths will take place 7:00 PM Gathering herbs (Kupoliavimas), weaving wreaths, herbal market; 7:30 PM Welcome, ritual gate circle; 7:45 PM Midsummer circles (Kupoliniai rateliai), fortune-telling with herbs; 8:30 PM Fire rituals at Lizdeika's altar, singing sutartinės; 9:00 PM Seeing off the evening Sun with songs, honoring trees; 9:40 PM Lighting of the festive bonfire, ritual pole (stebulė), dances, songs; 11:30 PM Torchlight procession to the Neris river, floating wreaths; Until sunrise: searching for the fern blossom, jumping over the bonfire, swimming, visiting trees and crops, ritual washing with morning dew, greeting the rising Sun. Lijana Šarkaitė-Viluma), Romuva ritual group „KŪLGRINDA“ (dir. Inija Trinkūnienė), traditional chapel „GRIEŽIKAI“ (dir. Gaila Kirdienė), folk song club „RASKILA“, night dance band „VOLDIS IR KITI“ (dir. Valdas Striužas).
