Rarely Heard Gems of Verdi's Music | Listening Session

Alongside his most famous operas, Giuseppe Verdi left behind many rarely heard musical gems. This evening is dedicated to discovering the lesser-known facets of the great opera master's work. The program consultant for the evening is Dr. Valerii Panasiuk (Ukraine) – Doctor of Art History, Professor at the Kyiv University of Arts, and Research Fellow at Vilnius University. The professor will give brief introductions to the operas in Russian. During the session, the following operas by G. Verdi will be played: "Nabucco", "I Lombardi", "Ernani", "Macbeth", "I Masnadieri", "Il Corsaro". ***RECORD LISTENING is a curated music listening experience. We listen to high-quality playback from vinyl records or high-resolution digital files, allowing us to capture the unique emotional depth, appreciate the nuances of the performance, and fully immerse ourselves in this music.
