SAKRALINĖS MUZIKOS VALANDOS. GRAND DUO

DARIUSZ BĄKOWSKI-KOIS (organ, Poland) MARCIN KUCHARCZYK (organ, Poland) Both are virtuosos of their instrument, with concert routes spanning the globe and each possessing extraordinary musical expressiveness. Hearing them perform together is a rare opportunity, brought to you by the "Sakralinės muzikos valandos" cycle, which unites Dariusz Bąkowski-Kois and Marcin Kucharczyk in a magnificent duet. Dariusz Bąkowski-Kois is one of Poland's most prominent organists, a professor and head of the Organ Department at the Academy of Music in Kraków, performing in prestigious European cathedrals and concert halls from Rome to Beijing. Marcin Kucharczyk is one of the most talented organists of the younger generation, a laureate of international competitions, including the winner of the prestigious J. P. Sweelinck Competition, actively performing on major European stages. The duet refutes the belief that the majestic organ is an instrument for individualists and admits that making music together is a lot of fun. True, the sight is unusual and the preparation is more complex, but the results are well worth it. The musicians navigate perfectly between tradition and new ideas, so their program is intriguing in both content and performance. You will hear duet and solo works that will surprise you with their sound. On the program: Georg Friedrich Händel, Benedetto Marcello, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, etc. Free admission
