The House of Signatories once again opens its doors to poetry and music. We invite everyone to listen to a synthesis of poetry and sound through the open windows! On Thursday, June 4th , poets Aivaras Veiknys , Verdenė Monika Valkiūnaitė , Paulius Norvila will read their poems, and bassist Pijus Oras will perform. Which window will open? You'll see when you arrive at 6 PM at Pilies g. 26. The event is free! Organizers: "Poetinis Druskininkų ruduo" literary festival, House of Signatories, Lithuanian National Museum. The festival's activities are financed by the Lithuanian Culture Council. Meet the event participants: Aivaras Veiknys (born 1983) – poet, journalist, author of three poetry books – „R aktai“ (2007), „Paukštuko liudijimai“ (2014), „Mamuto medžioklė“ (2021) – participant in various literary festivals: in 2015, he visited Lithuanian communities in Switzerland with the "Poezijos pavasaris" delegation, and in the same year, participated in the international project „Versoplis“, visiting festivals in Ledbury (United Kingdom) and Gdańsk (Poland). In 2014, he was awarded the Young Jotvingian Prize for his book „Paukštuko liudijimai“. One of the initiators and organizers of the "Literatūrinės Vilniaus slinktys" festival. Verdenė Monika Valkiūnaitė (born 1994) – a young generation poet and artist from Kretinga. She graduated from scenography at VDA (Vilnius Academy of Arts). Her works have been published in magazines „Literatūra ir menas“, „Metai“, and other publications; in 2022, her artworks were selected and published in the „Literatūrinių slinkčių“ collection, and in 2023, her poems were published in the collection. She describes herself as follows: „Oh, well. Oh, well, every year from mid-January, I start waiting for spring. More because of the darkness and less because of winter, I look for activities that interest me (I recently started learning to rock climb), I try to live (sometimes it works, sometimes it's very difficult), I like to sleep and dream, I also really like essential oils, incense, elf people and hobbit people, people who leave me space.“ Paulius Norvila (born 1985) – poet, translator, holds a master's degree in economics from Vilnius University. His works have been published in various cultural press („Metai“, „Literatūra ir menas“, „Nemunas“, „Šiaurės Atėnai“, etc.), and almanacs („Poezijos pavasaris“, „Poetinis Druskininkų ruduo“, „Literatūrinės Vilniaus slinktys“, etc.). Author of poetry collections „Septyni metų laikai“ (2006), „Kortų traukimas tėra tik dalis ritualo“ (2012), „Buitinė“ (2014), „Nebe“ (2022). In 2025, he won the "Poezijos pavasaris" prize for the best poetry book for children „Išprotėję eilėraščiai“. Pijus Oras – bassist and electric guitarist, who has participated in many festivals and concerts, and has performed numerous times with poetry readings at book launches and other literary events. Together with Dominykas Jurevičius, Titas Gedvilas, and Žygimantas Verba, he founded the music group „TAS“.
