SENGIRĖS KINAS at the National Visitor Centre: THE PRIMATOLOGIST TRIO
The project "Sengirės kinas", combining cinema and environmental protection, invites you to a film screening at the National Visitor Centre. On June 3 at 6:00 PM, the documentary film "Primatologių trijulė" will be screened. PRIMATOLOGIŲ TRIJULĖ ("Trimates", dir. Mark Starowicz, Caitlin Starowicz, 2020, Canada, USA, 2 episodes of 60 min each, in English with Lithuanian subtitles) The story of two generations of women: the young pioneers of primatology – Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey, and Birutė Galdikas – who, more than half a century ago, went into the jungles to live with our closest relatives – the great apes. It is also a story about a generation that read their articles, was captivated by their stories, and was determined to follow the same distant paths. The film invites you to immerse yourself in the jungles and mountains of Uganda, Borneo, and Congo, exploring the frontiers of crucial scientific research and the origins of humanity. The screening is free of charge; viewers who wish to show their gratitude are invited to support the Sengirės fondas ( www.sengiresfondas.lt ) From June 1-7, "Sengirės kinas" invites you to see this film on more than 80 screens across Lithuania.
