Skamba Skamba Kankliai Folk Festival 2026
"Skamba skamba kankliai" (Let the kanklės ring) is one of Europe's oldest authentic folk music festivals, held in Vilnius every year since 1973. Each year during the last week of May, the Old Town fills with traditional songs, dances and music as folklore ensembles from Lithuania and abroad perform in squares, courtyards, churches and gardens. The 2026 festival is dedicated to the Year of the Kanklės – celebrating Lithuania's traditional string instrument. International guests arrive from Latvia, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, and Hungary. Most events are free admission.
