This stage adaptation was written using texts by Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Andrei Sakharov, Mother Teresa and F. Dostoevsky. The performance uses paintings by M. K. Čiurlionis and his symphonic poem “Miškas”.
The text is especially relevant today, when threats are being voiced to wipe the oldest civilisations off the face of the earth.
The performance gives voice to a cry: a longing for that ideal world which is possible, which even exists somewhere in the vastness of the universe, and to which the protagonist finally travels in a dream.
Finding himself among the inhabitants of paradise, he admires not only the people of that perfect world but also everything he sees around him. He marvels at the absence of aggression in the relations of both people and animals. Everyone here manages to live together in peace, and the protagonist of this story kisses the ground on which the inhabitants of that land walk.
Sadly, this dream has an unhappy ending, because that one person from our earthly world, having entered a world of harmony, manages to sow the seed of discord there: envy, aggression, lust, killings…
