„Table Theatre“ Creative Workshop for Families „A Tale in the Palm of Your Hand“

„Stalo teatras“ (Table Theatre) invites you to a creative workshop at the Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Cinema Museum! On September 12, the creative workshop for the whole family „A Tale in the Palm of Your Hand“ will open the new season. We invite children to immerse themselves in a small yet remarkably rich world of fairy tales, where every palm can become a stage, and a tiny figure can become a true fairy-tale hero. During the creative workshop, children will use modelling clay to create and sculpt their own fairy-tale characters – ones that fit comfortably in the palm of a hand. The young creators will give them names, appearances, personalities and special stories. Once they've created their heroes, the children will become true table-theatre directors and actors. They'll create short stories, improvise, act, learn to listen to one another, and together create small, magical performances. These workshops give rise not only to lovely little figures, but also to first stories, the courage to create, the ability to communicate and collaborate, and the joy of being together – far from screens and close to real, hand-made creativity. And once the workshop is over, children will be able to take their characters home. Each tale will be safely packed into a special box – like a small theatre stage. Children will be able to enjoy their creations at home, invent new adventures, show them to parents, siblings and best friends, and, if they like, stage a real performance right in the palm of their hand. „A Tale in the Palm of Your Hand“ is more than a creative workshop. It's a chance for a child to create their own small world, take it home, and share it with the people they love most. The creative workshop is led by artist Eglė Degutis.
