The Cinematic Orchestra
British music aesthetes The Cinematic Orchestra return to Vilnius on October 9th to perform at the Compensa Concert Hall. “A short escape from the studio, where we are currently working on a new album,” The Cinematic Orchestra announce about their European performances. We will be among the first to hear new and unreleased music from The Cinematic Orchestra live. The band has recently welcomed new members who will also visit the capital. The band's mastermind and leader Jason Swinscoe, Al MacSween (keyboardist), Ellis Dupuy (a drummer already familiar to us, who also plays with Nilüfer Yanya!) and Vini Cajado (bassist) will appear on stage. A true delight awaits our ears and eyes. A pure concert straight out of a movie. Impressive visual solutions are an integral part of The Cinematic Orchestra's performances. For over two decades, The Cinematic Orchestra has been creating a unique soundscape between jazz and electronica. “Restrained and tasteful electronica,” writes The Guardian about The Cinematic Orchestra. Music publication NME says that The Cinematic Orchestra are elegant, intellectual, and extremely soulful, while Pitchfork describes them as simply magnificent. The band teaches listeners patience and attentiveness. The Cinematic Orchestra's compositions unfold slowly, layer by layer, allowing you to gradually immerse yourself in a certain mood. Atmospheric sound, musical dreams, and exciting vocals. The sound here is like a storyteller. Instead of rushing to a climax, it sloooowly leads you towards it. This concert is seated. You just need to get comfortable, get in the mood, and the professionals – The Cinematic Orchestra – will take care of the journey through space and time.
