The Prayer of the Shofar | Vilnius Shalom Festival 2026

On September 16 at 6:00 PM , the Vilnius Choral Synagogue will host a special Vilnius Shalom Festival concert, “The Prayer of the Shofar,” inviting listeners on a sensitive musical journey where ancient Jewish traditions, prayer, and contemporary concert music will merge. The program will be performed by: Bar Zemach – French horn, shofar (Israel / Germany) Yevgenii Musijets – bayan (Ukraine) Tadas Daujotas – shofars The concert will feature traditional Jewish music, works by Israeli composers, and improvisations for the shofar – one of the world's oldest musical instruments, whose sound has accompanied the Jewish people's prayers, celebrations, and most important historical moments for thousands of years. The unique sound of the shofar, French horn, and bayan will create a special musical atmosphere, inviting listeners to pause, listen, and experience the deep spiritual symbolism of this instrument.
