THE WAR OF THE MUSHROOMS. For centuries, edible and inedible mushrooms have lived side by side in the forest. The former are eagerly picked, admired and welcomed at our tables. The latter we often walk past, and sometimes... even kick aside. And yet inedible mushrooms, such as fly agarics or milkcaps, can be beautiful, remarkable and very necessary to the world of the forest. It is no wonder, then, that one day a great quarrel breaks out among the mushrooms. Which are more important? Which are better? Which are more needed? The war of the mushrooms has been going on for a long time. So long that even the inhabitants of the forest are beginning to fear it. So the oldest inhabitant of the forest, the Wild Pear Tree, decides to do something extraordinary. Instead of more words and warnings, she casts a spell and joins the edible and inedible mushrooms into a single body. From that moment on they must walk together, make decisions together and, above all, learn to live with one another. And that is when the real adventure begins. For can you be together when everyone wants something different? Can you overcome resentment and learn to listen to another? And does war really bring anyone victory? "The War of the Mushrooms" is a funny children's play full of movement, music and theatrical surprises. Through the extraordinary story of the inhabitants of an enchanted forest, it speaks about very important things: friendship, empathy, respect, cooperation and harmony. War, though in this story it is only a conflict between mushrooms, has very serious consequences: its echo reaches the whole forest. The animals begin to be afraid, the trees fall silent, and the inhabitants lose their sense of safety. That is why the Wild Pear Tree teaches the mushrooms that diversity need not lead to conflict. An edible and an inedible mushroom can grow side by side. They can be different and at the same time live in harmony. An important part of this story is also the tale of Sławek and the Wild Rose, a story that helps young viewers discover what empathy, friendship and attentiveness to another person really are. Because sometimes the greatest art is not to defeat someone... but to learn to be together.
