Through Pavilnys and Along the Railway | Vilnius Excursion

Bypassing new developments and typical garden-plot settlements, we will wind our way through old Pavilnys, whose real name is the Railway Workers' Colony. A good hundred years ago, to reach the wooden and brick mansions that once stood here, you could have travelled from Vilnius on foot, by carriage, or by "luxury pedal" (bicycle). Today, arriving by car, train or bus, we will visit the only wooden church in Vilnius, see a water tower where people now live, pass by the childhood home of a famous writer that is forever filled with curious music, glance at tiny little cemeteries, and wind along the only mountain serpentine road in Lithuania (well, yes, that's a grand way to put it, but a fact is a fact!). And then there's the sun setting into the Vilnelė river, a magical tree, flowers growing out of a suitcase, and swings on Jobūbas Hill – these are just a few of the magically charming details of Lower and Upper Pavilnys.🟢Meeting point: "Pavilnys" train station. You can get there by train, bus No. 13, or by car. If you arrive by car, please park on Tuputiškių or Žemoji Street. You can enter the address Žemoji g. 22 into your navigation.⭕ End point: "Pavilnys" train stop 🕜 Duration ~ 2.5 hours. Please do not be late, and make sure to have a copy of your ticket saved on your phone. What happens if it rains? We will still go on the tour, just don't forget your ☔ and suitable clothing :)***Please note that if your plans change, tickets cannot be exchanged and the money for them will not be refunded.
