Tour of the LNM Ethnographic Repository: "The Secret of the Fern Blossom"

The magical Rasa (Midsummer) Festival is approaching. During this celebration, an opportunity arises to find the Fern Blossom, which reveals all the secrets of the world. Come to the ethnographic repository located at Istorijų namai! Walking among artifacts dating from the 18th to the early 20th century that recall life in the Lithuanian countryside, we will discuss the customs of the shortest night of the year. We will explore what magical means were used against the witches raging on this night, and what spells can guarantee beauty, health, and good fortune at this exceptional moment. We will learn where and when to look for the Fern Blossom, what dangers await the seeker and how to prepare for them, and most importantly – how the legend of the Fern Blossom prepares us for life's challenges.
