Tour “The Uncomfortable History of Vilnius” | ŠVENTARAGIS

Vilnius – a city we take pride in. But do we know it as it really was? During the Šventaragis festival , the Castle Keeper's House invites you to an exceptional tour in which history becomes uncomfortable. With the lights turned off , a guide with a lantern will lead visitors through the halls – as if through the shadows of memory, where doubts lie hidden. In each hall, the significance of historical events or phenomena will first be revealed – and then an uncomfortable question will be asked, inviting us to rethink what we believe. The responsibility of creators, tolerance, contradictory heroes, adaptation, migration, identity – sensitive topics that allow us to rethink, in a complex way, our understanding of ourselves.
