Tours of Markučiai Manor

We invite you to discover the history of Markučiai Manor on a guided tour. A tour of Markučiai Manor, one of the few surviving wooden architecture manors, introduces you to a part of Vilnius's history from the second half of the 19th century to the present day. We invite you to learn about the history of the manor and the landowners who lived here: we will look at the political circumstances under which the manor was built, what cultural traditions thrived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, we will get acquainted with the preserved manor interior, the transformation of the house into a literary Alexander Pushkin Museum during the Soviet era, and today's return to telling the story of slow life in a Vilnius suburban manor.
