"trembling") – a musical term referring to the rapid, repeated reiteration of a single note, interval or chord. Director Laura Kutkaitė and her team invite you to a performance-lecture about pleasure, which also includes documentary stories of people who identify as women. The chosen title "tremolo" is interpreted as a trembling – both from pleasure and from fear. Fear of failing to meet the "norms" created or imposed by society in the context of sexual pleasure. Fear of living according to expectations imposed by others, which we so often embody that we no longer even notice it. What has been, and still is, repeated to us again and again? What remains unspoken, yet is something we would want to know, understand and hear from another, so that each of us can feel normal and healthy in our sexual life? The director chooses the format of a performative lecture, which best allows her to touch on themes of knowing the female body, sexual health and self-worth through the central lens of sexual pleasure. The creator combines research-based information with the documentary genre. "A gentle force" – that's how the creative team describes the work.
