Tricky

British trip-hop legend Tricky returns to the capital this September! On September 2, Tricky will present his new album “Different When It’s Silent” in Vilnius. The action takes place at “Kablys”, which suits him very well. Vilnius is one of the last cities added to Tricky's already impressive European concert tour. Tricky's music is dark, hypnotic and multi-layered. It's hard to mistake it for anyone else's. That said, Tricky's darkness isn't frightening – quite the opposite, it intrigues and draws you in. He is one of the most important figures of the British underground, having contributed greatly to the birth of trip-hop. But he doesn't play the nostalgia card. He's an artist-phenomenon, and no one can deny it. Tricky can still surprise, which truly few manage to do. Mature, but still dangerously unpredictable. Minimal, but not empty. Instinctive, yet disciplined. Well, at least in the studio. Tickets live here: bit.ly/trickyvilnius On September 2, on the “Kablys” stage, we'll see a whole crew of talented musicians : Adrian Nigholas Matthew Thaws (that's Tricky's full, real name) (vocals), Velroyo John Bailey (drums), Ross Daniel Barnes (keyboards), Mariin Kallikorn (guitar), Mitchell Lee Sanders (vocals) and Marta Złakowska (vocals). Polish vocalist Marta Złakowska – a special guest of the tour. Marta has become an important creative partner for Tricky. Her fragile, intimate vocals subtly complement Tricky's dark sound and give it an even greater sense of vulnerability. Their joint album “Out the Way”, released in 2025, was praised by critics as one of Tricky's strongest new works. This release cemented Marta and Tricky's collaboration not as a one-off experiment, but as a creative direction in its own right. “Different When It’s Silent” is Tricky's fifteenth studio album. Its origin is deeply personal and painful – the sudden death of his daughter, Mina Mazy. “I'm ready to live again. For a while I was emotionally paralyzed. Now I'm moving forward again. I'm really looking forward to this big tour. I want to be on stage again. I'm grateful I can make music”, – says Tricky, who, it seems, made it through so much unbearable pain with the help of music.
