Another guided walk through a familiar yet at the same time entirely unfamiliar Soviet-era district – the one that has probably changed more over the past few decades than any other place in Vilnius. Strolling around Žirmūnai you will find out: • who built the Ministry of Internal Affairs palace 🏢 • which animal the Žirmūnai bridge is named after 🦌 • what fate awaits the Sports Palace 🏟️ • and many more small details that often go unnoticed yet shape the city 🌆Get ready for an enjoyable walk – it will take about 2.5 hours 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ We will start in Tuskulėnai Peace Park, by the columbarium, and finish by the Electricity sculpture ⚡We meet on Saturday, 29 August, at 16:00.
