About

Two giants of Hungarian music – Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály – demonstrated that folk music can become the foundation of modern culture. We will listen to works where ancient melodies meet the musical language of the 20th century.

Listening program:

Kodály: Duo for Violin and Cello, Op. 7

Kodály: Choral Works 2

Bartók: Violin Concerto (1937-38)

Bartók: Concerto
