Veronika ChiChi - vocal Dmitrij Golovanov - piano Artūrs Duckis - bass Domantas Razmus - drums Arkadij Gotesman - percussion (modern, latin, swing) Veronika ChiChi needs no introduction to jazz lovers in Lithuania, as she is not only the vocalist of the well-known retro jazz band “The Ditties”, but also one of the brightest jazz vocalists in Lithuania, whose music is full of both traditional jazz improvisation and the grace of contemporary jazz. The title of her debut album, “A Singer of a Thousand Faces”, aptly reflects the variety of expressions and styles she weaves into her work. This evening is special – Veronika and her quintet will perform not only the audience-loved pieces from the programme “Home”, but also its sequel: new compositions that keep emerging and that are likely to be recorded soon on a new album. A mature jazz composer and a strong leader of her band, Veronika brings boldness and playfulness to her compositions and her interpretations of jazz standards. Her voice is known for its ability to touch listeners’ souls, creating a deep and emotional connection. The ensemble is graced by Veronika’s vivid and charismatic stage partners, also known as the No Name Jazz Fellas – Dmitrij Golovanov, Domantas Razmus and Artūras Duckis – who enchant audiences in Lithuania and abroad with their bold and technical improvisations, alongside percussion master Arkadij Gotesman. Veronika’s band has performed at numerous Lithuanian festivals and earned international recognition, playing at the Cairo Jazz Festival in Egypt, the Leopolis Jazz Festival in Lviv, Ukraine, the Saulkrasti Jazz Festival in Latvia and the Opus Jazz Club in Budapest. Her participation in the international project “Jazz Exchange” alongside musicians such as Bojan Z and artists from Serbia and Luxembourg demonstrates her dedication to music and her great ambitions. The project led to performances at the prestigious “Like A Jazz Machine” festival in Luxembourg and the Novi Sad Jazz Festival in Serbia, and culminated in the recording of an album currently in the process of release.
