VILNIUS/LVIV INTERLINKED

"Vilnius / Lviv interlinked" is a live sound experience that connects the soundscapes of Vilnius and Lviv into a cohesive experimental music piece. In it, city sounds recorded by composer Dominykas Digimas are layered with electronics and improvisations by the ensemble "Bottlenecks". Musicians: Diemantė Merkevičiūtė (MER) – violin, effects pedals Vytautas Oškinis – flutes Dominykas Snarskis – percussion During the performance, the listener is guided through an imagined landscape of two cities. Changing sound layers reflect the identities of Vilnius and Lviv, their history, and current tensions. The project is presented in the Rail Park Hangar, whose industrial environment is an integral part of the piece, enhancing themes of movement, transit, and (sonic) intersections. The event is also complemented by Ukrainian poetry read by Andrius Merkevičius. The ensemble "Bottlenecks", founded in 2024, is active in the contemporary music scene in Lithuania and Europe, collaborating with creators from various fields and developing new forms of experimental music. 19:00 — first performance 21:00 — second performance The project is supported by Lithuanian Railways PLC and the Railway Museum.
