Vilnius Tango Theatre - EN LA YECA TANGO

An intriguing encounter with tango. Tango is a city dance, an inseparable part of the culture and nightlife of the Buenos Aires megalopolis. It was born on the street – where emotions flowed, where music played, where passion and nostalgia became an integral part of everyday life. Tango was and still is danced in bars, on streets, in hidden corners – everywhere life pulsates, where people feel and love. "Tango en la Yeca" ("yeca" – in Buenos Aires slang, called lunfardo, means street) is a performance where tango comes alive as if it were born here and now: from a provocative glance, a timid touch, a first embrace, to an open, captivating, passionate tango. In this dynamic show, dancers Alexis Gonzalez, Veronica Luna, Gabriel Carballo, Sol Oyhenart, Eduardo Pedroso, Jade Rodriguez, and vocalist Patricija Luščynska share emotions with the audience. Choreographers – Sigitas Repšys and Alexis Gonzalez, lighting director – Modestas Jančiulis, sound director – Modestas Milčius ("Modis Events").
