My name is Alessandra, I am a guide, and although I have traveled extensively, Vilnius remains my favorite city. I would like to share with you what makes it so special. Our walk will begin at Cathedral Square. Here you will learn why this place is not only a religious space but also a symbol of national identity and freedom. Later, we will venture into the historic network of medieval streets that once served as the center of multicultural city life. We will explore hidden courtyards – have you heard of Lithuanian Baroque? We will pass by the most important Old Town sites, traveling from the old city to modern Vilnius. Of course, we won't miss the Town Hall, the Gate of Dawn, and the famous artists' district of Užupis. Do you know what it's famous for? We will conclude the tour at one of the city's most beloved markets, where old traditions meet modern food culture. Here you can continue your exploration through local flavors, fresh bread, smoked meats, spices, coffee, traditional dishes, and handmade souvenirs – or simply continue your journey by train, as the station is just a few minutes' walk away.
