Vox organi Cathedralis 2026. EGLĖ RUDOKAITĖ

"Vox organi Cathedralis" – an organ music festival held at Vilnius Cathedral Basilica since 2017. Marking the festival's tenth anniversary, this year the organs of Vilnius Cathedral will resound with the voices of European cathedral organs. From 14 June to 20 September, musical dedications will ring out to the cathedrals of Austria, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Latvia, France and Germany. The programme features works by cathedral organists, compositions created for organ inaugurations, and pieces performed for the first time in cathedrals. Concerts by the organists of Vilnius and Freiburg (Germany) cathedrals will also take place. 23 July 2026 at 12:00 Dedication to Seville Cathedral Organ: EGLĖ RUDOKAITĖ Programme: Francisco Correa de Arauxo, Eduardo Torres Pérez, Manuel Castillo Navarro-Aguilera. ***** Eglė Rudokaitė completed her piano studies and organ elective at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. From 2017 to 2023 she studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in the organ class of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Balys Vaitkus, completing her master's degree in 2023. In 2016 she won first prize at the J. S. Bach Young Pianists Competition in Vilnius and second prize at the Jono Žukas Young Organists' Competition. In 2019 she became the first-prize laureate at the 7th Juozas Naujalis Organists' Competition and received a special prize for the best interpretation of a Naujalis work. In 2020 she was awarded the Antanas Smetona Scholarship for academic achievements. In 2022 she won first prize at the International Organists' Competition in Jūrmala (Latvia). Since 2020 she has served as organist at Vilnius Cathedral Basilica and since 2021 as répétiteur at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She is a board member of the National Organists' Association since 2023. Since 2024 she studies at the University of Music and Theatre Munich under Prof. Dr. Martin Sander. In 2025 she participated in recording a double CD of M. K. Čiurlionis's organ works.
