"Miracle" Tile
The Miracle Tile is one of Vilnius most beloved traditions. This tile, embedded in the pavement of Cathedral Square, marks the spot where the Baltic Way began on August 23, 1989 — a 600 km human chain from Vilnius to Tallinn uniting three Baltic nations in their quest for freedom. Tradition says: stand on the tile, close your eyes, spin three times and make a wish — it will come true. The tile is located between the Cathedral and the bell tower, marked with the word STEBUKLAS (Miracle). A must-visit spot for every Vilnius visitor.
