The easiest way to ruin a stag do in Vilnius is not with a bad bar, but with too packed a schedule: one group tries to fit a shooting range, karting, and axe throwing into the same afternoon, leaving friends with no energy left for a bar crawl in the evening. A second common mistake is arriving without any reservation and expecting to find a free table for ten people in the Old Town on a Friday night. This guide solves both problems: one or two specific daytime activities with real addresses and prices, a clear evening bar route in the Old Town, and a list of things that must be booked in advance.
Daytime Program: One Activity, Not Five
Vilnius' adrenaline activities are indeed good, but most of them, including travel, changing, and instruction, take from one and a half to three hours. In one day, it's realistic to fit in one major activity and, if there's time left, one lighter one before dinner.
Shooting real firearms is the most common choice. "Vilnius Shooting Club" has an indoor shooting range about a 10-minute taxi ride from the center, the exact address is sent upon reservation confirmation, and the office is registered at Pylimo g. 12B. Here you can shoot an AK-47, a "Glock 17 Gen5", a "Mossberg 500" shotgun, a "Mosin Nagant" rifle, a "Smith & Wesson" .44 Magnum revolver, and several historical firearms. Participants must be at least 18 years old, sober, and have a passport or ID card, a firearms license is not required. A three-weapon package costs from 49 Eur per person for a group of six or more people, or up to 53 Eur if the group is three to five people. Entry to the shooting range is not possible without prior reservation.
For karting, the best choice is "Kartlandas Vilnius", Pramonės g. 141C. The track is open Monday to Thursday from 12 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 12 PM to 11 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM. A ten-minute ride costs 20 Eur, a fifteen-minute ride 27 Eur, and two consecutive rides are cheaper: two ten-minute rides cost 30 Eur instead of the usual 40 Eur, two fifteen-minute rides 42 Eur instead of 54 Eur. Helmet rental costs 1 Eur. Standard karts can be driven from 8 years of age.
Axe throwing at Švitrigailos g. 11A has three targets, with up to four people able to stand at each at a time, making it suitable for a group of up to 12 people in total. A session costs from 35 Eur, and a combined package with a smash room can be booked through the partner "dauzykla.lt".
If you want something calmer but still competitive, "Wrong Room" escape rooms at Geležinkelio g. 6 (entrance through the inner courtyard) offer six scenarios, including adult-oriented ones like "Behind Bars", "Impossible Mission", "X Files", and "Apocalypse". The price is 60 Eur for a group of two to five people, plus 10 Eur for each additional participant. A smash room also operates in the same building for 35 Eur per hour.
For a more serious adventure, it's worth dedicating a whole half-day: about 25 kilometers from Vilnius, in the Nemenčinė forests near Naujasodės village, the Soviet-era bunker experience "1984" operates. The milder version, "Back to the USSR", lasts 2 hours, involves up to 15 people at a time, costs 20 Eur per person, and the minimum group booking is 200 Eur. The program includes shops, a school, and a hospital, there are no interrogation scenes, and photography is allowed. The full version, "1984 Survival Drama", lasts 3 hours, accommodates up to 50 people, participants must be of legal age, and the program includes guards with dogs, interrogation in a KGB office, gas masks, and a Soviet dinner with a certificate at the end. Before the evening, it's worth getting acquainted with local beer. "Sakiškių bravoras" in the cultural space "Dūmų fabrikas", Dūmų g. 5, offers a tasting of six types from over 60 varieties created since 2015. The tasting lasts 1.5 hours and costs 30 Eur per person, the usual day is Wednesday at 6:30 PM, and for groups of 8 or more people, the time can be arranged individually.

Evening Bar Route in the Old Town

Start the evening with beer. "Šnekutis", Šv. Mikalojaus g. 15, is open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM and offers a wide selection of Lithuanian craft beer at a lower price. "Alaus biblioteka", Totorių g. 8, operates on a similar principle, often featuring live music. Nearby is "Bambalynė", Stiklių g. 7: it's a basement bar without a lift, serving a wide selection of craft beers by candlelight, and consistently receiving top visitor ratings.
When you want a cocktail, "Alchemikas", Islandijos g. 1, is open Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 6 PM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday until 3 AM. This is a higher-end bar, so for a larger group, it's worth calling in advance. "Nomads Cocktail Bar", Didžioji g. 5, is a good option if "Alchemikas" is already full. For those who want to end the first part of the evening with a view, "Skybar", on the 22nd floor of the "Radisson Blu Lietuva" hotel, Konstitucijos pr. 20, is suitable: it's open Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 6 PM to 12 AM, and Friday and Saturday until 2 AM. This place is in Naujamiestis, on the other side of the Neris river, so the journey from the Old Town bars will take about 10 to 15 minutes.
Clubs, When the Bars Are Exhausted
When the group wants to dance, Vilnius offers four distinctly different directions. "Opium Klubas", located on Islandijos street, is an electronic music venue with a good sound system and a constant flow of local and international DJs. "Menų fabrikas Loftas", Švitrigailos g. 29, operates in former factory premises and usually hosts concerts and larger parties, so it's worth checking what's happening in the hall on a specific week before going. "Tamsta Club", A. Strazdelio g. 1, focuses on live music: Tuesday to Thursday it's open from 6 PM to 11 PM with concerts starting at 7:30 PM, Friday and Saturday from 6:30 PM to 12 AM with concerts starting at 8 PM. Minors are only admitted with parents, so adults may also be asked to show ID at the entrance. If you want a bigger crowd and more popular music, "Salento Night Club", A. Vienuolio g. 4, is one of the city's oldest clubs with the largest dance floor in Vilnius, open on Friday and Saturday nights from approximately 11 PM until dawn. How Much a Weekend Will Really Cost
Calculate your budget separately: flight, accommodation, one daytime activity, and evening entertainment. Low-cost airlines "Ryanair", "Wizz Air", and "airBaltic" fly directly to Vilnius from most cities in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe, and the airport is about a 15-minute taxi ride from the city center.
The most economical option: karting from 20 Eur for ten minutes and an evening in beer bars without cocktails, along with food, can cost about 60 to 80 Eur per person for the whole day. A moderate option with shooting (from 49 Eur per person for a group of six people) or an escape room (60 Eur for a group of up to five, so about 12 to 15 Eur per person) and a few cocktails at "Alchemikas" or "Nomads" raises the daily budget to 100 to 140 Eur per person. Adding a Soviet-era bunker trip, from 20 Eur for the milder version per person, calculate an additional 30 to 60 Eur per person, depending on the chosen package and group size. When to Go and How to Get Around the City
April to October is the most convenient time, as outdoor terraces are open and days are long enough for active pursuits before dinner. During this period, book the shooting range, karting, and a larger apartment at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance for a weekend, and the "1984" bunker experience and axe throwing at least a week in advance, as their group capacity is limited.
You can walk across the Old Town from one end to the other in 10 to 15 minutes, so a taxi between bars is usually not necessary. To "Skybar" in Naujamiestis or to the Soviet-era bunker on the Nemenčinė side, it's most convenient to use the "Bolt" or "Uber" app, and for a group larger than four people, it's worth arranging a minivan in advance, especially for the trip to and from the bunker.
What Must Be Booked in Advance
Three things in Vilnius do not operate on a "come and play" principle. The shooting range only accepts pre-registered participants, the Soviet-era bunker operates by prior booking only, and for a table of more than five people at a popular bar on a Friday or Saturday evening, you need to call at least a day in advance. When booking, immediately state the exact number of participants, and if anyone in the group has health restrictions, mention this in advance, especially before shooting or the bunker program with interrogation scenes.
