If you arrive at a Vilnius club at 9:30 PM, there's a high chance you'll be the first ones there or find the doors closed. The evening in the city has clear stages. Until 10:00 PM, people sit in bars, around midnight they gather for electronic music events, and in larger venues, everything depends not on the day of the week, but on the specific program.
Therefore, it's worth starting your plan not with the question of which bar is best. First, decide what you want: a quiet conversation, Lithuanian beer, a live concert, or six hours of dancing. Both the district and your budget will depend on this answer.
Until 10:00 PM: Cocktails, Beer, and Music You Can Listen To
For a cocktail evening, it's most convenient to start in the city center. "Alchemikas", Islandijos g. 1, is open from 6:00 PM, on Fridays and Saturdays until 3:00 AM. The bar is small, so for two to four people, it's worth reserving a table for Friday at least a few days in advance. Plan approximately 11-15 Eur per cocktail.
If the drink menu is more important than a luxurious interior, choose "Nisha Craft Capital", L. Stuokos-Gucevičiaus g. 9. The bar has 22 constantly changing draft beer taps, as well as hundreds of bottles and cans from Lithuania and abroad. To taste several varieties, it's more practical to order smaller portions. Rarer or stronger beer will cost more than a regular lager, so plan about 5-9 Eur for a pint.
A completely different format awaits at "Adata Bar", Naugarduko g. 41. This is a place inspired by Japanese "Jazz Kissa" listening bars, where vinyl and the sound system are not just background. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the bar is open from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM, on Thursdays until 1:00 AM, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 2:00 AM. It's worth going here at the beginning of the evening when you can still hear the music, not just the crowd.
One Evening, Two Real Directions
In the Old Town and city center, you can change venues on foot. A convenient route starts on Totorių Street, continuing through Islandijos and Vilniaus streets. "Būsi trečias", Totorių g. 18, is suitable for an early beer and a Lithuanian snack. On Fridays and Saturdays, the place is open until 2:00 AM, on other days until midnight. Further on, you can choose "Alchemikas", "Piano Man Bar", or "Gringo Pub", Vilniaus g. 31. The latter is open until 4:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, making it useful as a late stop as well.
The second direction starts in the southern part of the Old Town. "Apoteka Bar", Visų Šventųjų g. 5, is open from Wednesday to Sunday, closed on Monday and Tuesday. From here, you can walk to Halės Market and the bars in the Station district in about 10 minutes. "Dėvėti", Sodų g. 3, combines craft beer, falafels, pizzas, and parties, while "Peronas", Geležinkelio g. 6, operates right by the railway tracks and regularly hosts concerts and DJ nights.
If you also want dinner, eat by 10:00 PM. The kitchen often closes earlier than the bar itself, and electronic music clubs may not have food at all. It's better to plan for a late snack separately, rather than expecting it at the event venue.
Don't try to cover Užupis, Islandijos Street, and Naujamiestis on the same night. The distances are not great, but queues, waiting for orders, and transportation will eat up a good hour.
After 11:00 PM: Choose a Club by Program, Not by Name
Vilnius electronic music venues are not bars worth dropping into any day. First, check the date, performers, and door times for a specific event in the events calendar and on the organizer's page.
"Elastica", Geležinkelio g. 6, focuses on techno and has a sound system specially designed for the club. Usual Friday opening hours are announced from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, but events do not take place every weekend day. Arriving around 12:00 AM is usually more logical than 10:00 PM.
"Gallery 1986", Kauno g. 32, is dedicated to electronic music, and event start times are often listed as 11:59 PM. Advance tickets for individual 2026 events cost around 11-20 Eur. For more popular guests, buy your ticket in advance, as the price at the door may be higher.
"Kablys", Kauno g. 5, is both a concert and a nightlife venue. This is an important distinction. A concert might start at 8:00 PM, while a club night only begins before midnight. Don't go just because you know the name of the place; that evening, an event of a completely different genre might be happening there, or nothing at all.
For live music, a more reliable choice is "Tamsta Club", A. Strazdelio g. 1. Here you'll find jazz, soul, rock, and original music concerts. Door and concert start times are usually indicated on the ticket, so arrive before the performance, not after midnight.
An Evening with a City Panorama
If dancing is not planned, "Skybar" is a specific choice for the view, not for its club program. It is located on the 22nd floor of the "Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva", Konstitucijos pr. 20. From Sunday to Thursday, it's open from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. During sunset and on weekends, it's better to reserve a table in advance. For a cocktail and a small snack, it's safe to budget 20-30 Eur per person.
This is not a convenient first stop if the rest of your evening is planned in the Station district. From "Skybar" to Geležinkelio Street, it's a few kilometers, so you'll need transportation.
How Much Does a Night in Vilnius Cost
In 2026, it's worth planning the following budget per person: beer 5-9 Eur, cocktail 10-15 Eur, club ticket 10-25 Eur, transportation in the center about 5-10 Eur. Prices increase during special events, festivals, and New Year's Eve. Two drinks, a ticket, and a ride home will usually total 45-70 Eur; dinner is not included in this amount.
For a small cocktail bar on a Friday or Saturday, reserve a spot 2-3 days in advance. Reservations are usually not necessary for pubs if you arrive by 7:30 PM. Don't buy a club ticket without checking the music genre. Techno, house, a concert, and a commercial hits night can all take place in Vilnius on the same night, but in different parts of the city.
