Vilnius Rooftop Bars: Best Views and Cocktails

By VisitVilnius editorial5 min read

Vilnius' best rooftop bars with panoramic views: Skybar, ETM Elektrinė terasa, Neringa Rooftop, and 3Mūzos. Addresses, opening hours, and prices for 2026.

When choosing a rooftop bar in Vilnius, it's worth considering not just how beautiful it looks in photos, but also the weather and the season. Some bars operate year-round on a glass-enclosed floor high above the city, while others are open terraces that fill up in half an hour during the warm season and are completely closed in winter. Before making your evening plans, check if the terrace is open that day, if a reservation is required, and when the sun sets if a sunset view is your top priority.

The four venues in this guide cover different scenarios: a year-round glass bar on the 22nd floor, an industrial terrace above a former power plant, and two terraces on Gedimino Prospektas with views of the castle and the cathedral.

Skybar: Panorama from the 22nd Floor Year-Round

Skybar is located on the 22nd floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva at Konstitucijos pr. 20. Since the bar is in an enclosed, heated space with floor-to-ceiling windows, it operates all year round regardless of the weather and is the only rooftop bar in Vilnius where a view is guaranteed even in January. From here, you can simultaneously see the Old Town with its church towers, Gediminas Castle Tower, the skyscrapers of the business district, and the bends of the Neris River.

The bar is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 6pm to midnight, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm to 2am. Cocktails cost approximately from 10 to 15 Eur, and there is also a wide selection of wines and spirits, as well as a small snack menu. DJs play on weekends, and the capacity is about 150 people, so on a Friday or Saturday evening, a window seat might not be available without an advance reservation, especially as sunset approaches.

ETM Elektrinė Terasa: Rooftop Above a Former Power Plant

On the roof of the Energy and Technology Museum, Rinktinės g. 2, there is the terrace “Elektrinė”, located on the fifth floor above the building of the former Vilnius power plant. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6:30pm (closed on Mondays), and an adult ticket costs 7 Eur. The terrace operates during the warm season and can be accessed by elevator in the evenings even after museum hours, so you can visit without a museum ticket at that time.

In summer, concerts are held on the terrace, usually on Fridays and for free, while larger evening performances are sold separately. An additional reason to visit: inside the museum, there is the Virsmo salė (Transformation Hall) with the largest Tesla coils in the Baltics, so you can start your evening with an electric discharge show downstairs and finish with a panorama of the Old Town, Žirmūnai, and Šnipiškės from above. Before you go, check the terrace and event schedule on the website etm.lt, as the terrace is closed in winter.

Neringa Rooftop and 3Mūzos: Two Views of Gedimino Prospektas

Neringa Rooftop, Gedimino pr. 23, is located on the roof of the historic “Neringa” Hotel, which has been operating since 1959. The terrace is seasonal: it opens in the warm season and closes for winter, so it's worth checking if the season has started before your visit. During the season, opening hours are usually from Monday to Friday from 3pm to midnight, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to midnight. The menu mainly consists of sparkling wine, cocktails, and light snacks, and the view of the red rooftops and Gediminas Castle Tower in the distance looks especially good at sunset.

A few minutes' walk from Neringa, at Gedimino pr. 4, on the fifth floor of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre building, operates 3Mūzos Rooftop Bar. Entry is through the doors of the gastrobar “Nacionalinė” at the bottom of the building. Opening hours: Mondays from 4pm to 10pm, from Tuesday to Friday from 2pm to midnight, Saturdays from 12pm to midnight, Sundays from 12pm to 9pm. The terrace looks directly at Gediminas Castle and Vilnius Cathedral, making it suitable for both a date and a celebration with a larger group.

When to Choose a Rooftop Bar in Vilnius

If sunset is your main priority, check the exact sunset time for that day and arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes early to have enough time to order a table and a drink while the sky is still bright. On summer evenings, when the sun sets late, it's worth choosing open terraces (Neringa Rooftop, ETM Elektrinė, 3Mūzos), as the view of the changing sky color is direct, without glass. In autumn, winter, or when it's raining, Skybar remains the most reliable choice, as the glass protects from wind and rain, and the panorama from the 22nd floor does not change seasonally.

On weekdays, especially from Sunday to Thursday, it's easier to find a free table by the window than on Friday or Saturday. If you are planning an evening with a group of four or more people, or want a specific table by the window, a reservation becomes not just a suggestion, but a necessity.

Reservations and Practical Tips

Skybar and 3Mūzos accept reservations by phone or via their website, while Neringa Rooftop has a separate reservation page on its website. Table reservations are not required at ETM Elektrinė terrace, but on evenings with larger concerts, it's worth arriving earlier, as seating is limited. In higher-end bars, such as Skybar, the appropriate attire is “smart casual,” so sportswear or beach sandals would not be the best choice here.

Before heading out in summer, check the specific bar's operating hours on its Facebook or Instagram account, as seasonal terraces sometimes open later or close earlier due to a private event or weather conditions. You can find more places with terraces and city views in the full list of Vilnius bars.
