A concert for the whole family about a boy named Jascha Heifetz, born in Vilnius, where he began his extraordinary journey into the world of music. In this musical story, actor Giedrius Arbačiauskas, violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė, and guitarist Chris Ruebens invite children, young people, and families to get acquainted with one of the most brilliant world music figures to come from Lithuania – violin genius Jascha Heifetz. Little Jascha began playing the violin in early childhood. From Vilnius, his talent spread across the world, and his name is still mentioned alongside the greatest music legends of the 20th century. His musical path is also connected with another eminent Litvak musical figure – composer and violinist Joseph Achron. Heifetz performed and championed Achron's work, and their artistic bond became an important part of the Litvak musical heritage. 2026 marks the 125th anniversary of Jascha Heifetz's birth and the 140th anniversary of Joseph Achron's birth, making this concert an occasion to rediscover their stories – intimate, inspiring, and tied to Lithuania. The event will weave together music, live narration, and an imagination-sparking journey into the world of a boy who began his musical path in Vilnius.
