Aidas Giniotis and the band PlumBum | “Don’t Be Afraid – It’s Us”

On 4 October 2026 at 6:00 PM, at St. Catherine's Church in Vilnius, Aidas Giniotis and the band PlumBum will present “Don’t Be Afraid – It’s Us”, a concert program featuring songs by Vytautas Kernagis, the well-known pioneer of Lithuanian sung poetry, as well as other famous bards and the Keistuoliai Theater. Director, educator, actor, and eccentric maestro Aidas Giniotis is well known to everyone. Having delighted listeners' ears with his original (and not only!) songs for three decades, both solo and with other performers, this time he will invite the band PlumBum (lit. “Falling Plum”) to the stage, which consists of five musical and energetic actors of the youngest generation. Džiugas Širvys, Aistė Šeštokaitė, Lyja Maknavičiūtė, Urtė Smulskytė - Auksoraitienė, Matas Pranskevičius – colorful and unique personalities who, although loyal to the art of theater, do not step away from music for a single moment. Aidas Giniotis, together with these young creators, will embark on a search for new sounds in melodies that many know by heart, promising to awaken Vytautas Kernagis' songs with instruments and voices in a sensitive, diverse, and, above all, deeply sincere way.
