Living Amber: From Ancient Workshops to Today

We invite students, families, groups of friends, and everyone interested in Baltic amber to participate in free educational workshops on amber! During the workshops, you will learn about the history of amber formation, its types and properties, how to identify natural amber, hear stories about the significance of amber in Baltic culture, and see unique museum exhibits. In the practical part, you will try your hand at grinding and polishing amber and create your own unique amber amulet. Workshop dates: June: 17, 22 July: 7, 14 August: 4, 11 September: 8, 17 October: 6, 22 November: 3, 26 December: 1, 8, 17 Participants must be 8 years or older. Space is limited, so advance registration is required .
