For one evening, Mozart will become Mambozart, Brahms' "Hungarian Dance" will turn Cuban, and Beethoven's "Fate" Symphony will transform into Salsa No. 5. Sounds intriguing? These five virtuosos masterfully combine masterpieces of European classical music with the rhythms of salsa, son, bolero, merengue, afro, and cha-cha. Their music is recognizable from the first notes, yet it never sounds quite as you expect. Their legendary album Classic Meets Cuba , released with Sony Classical , won Echo Klassik and Jazz Award , was nominated for a GRAMMY, and was called "the freshest album in a long time" by critics.
