Living Amber: From Ancient Workshops to the Present Day

We invite school students, families, groups of friends, and everyone interested in Baltic amber to participate in free educational workshops about amber! During the workshops, you will learn about the history of amber formation, its types and properties, find out how to identify natural amber, hear stories about the significance of amber in Baltic culture, and view unique museum exhibits. During the practical part, you will try your hand at amber grinding and polishing, and create your own unique amber amulet. Workshop dates: June: 17, 22 July: 7, 14 August: 4, 11 September: 8, 17 October: 6, 22 November: 3, 26 December: 1, 8, 17 Participant age: 8 years and older. The number of places is limited, so advance registration is required.
