Running Race in Liepkalnis – VERTICAL VILNIUS

On September 26, VERTICAL VILNIUS – a mountain running race inviting you to discover Vilnius' terrain in a whole new way – will take place in Liepkalnis. Organized in cooperation with the Vilnius City Municipality, the event aims not only to create a unique sporting event in the capital, but also to encourage people to be more active in nature, discover mountain running, and get to know Vilnius' green spaces in a new way. Participants will be able to choose one of three distances: 10 km / +1000 m, 6 km / +600 m, or 2 km / +200 m. The routes will run along the slopes of Liepkalnis, so there will be no shortage of steep climbs, descents, and vertical meters. VERTICAL VILNIUS is part of the international ITRA National League. The event is open both to experienced athletes and to those wanting to try mountain and vertical running for the first time. On race day, an event village will operate in Liepkalnis. It will showcase gear and news related to running, mountains and active leisure, host a workshop for making supporter posters, and offer an outdoor sauna for finishers to refresh themselves.
