SACRED MUSIC HOURS. THE CODE OF THE AGES
JOHANNES SKUDLIK (organ, Germany) There are works that need no introduction – just the first few notes are enough. Johann Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor is one of them. This time, it will be performed in a concert by Johannes Skudlik, an artist whose name is associated with the world's greatest stages. Born in Munich and raised in Barcelona, the musician has performed in the world's most famous venues – from the Berlin Philharmonic and Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie to Venice's La Fenice and Barcelona's Sagrada Familia. As a conductor, he works with prestigious symphony orchestras, and as an organist, he has played legendary instruments at Notre-Dame in Paris, Cologne Cathedral, St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, and other exceptional sanctuaries. St. Casimir's Church will host a programme that brings together the golden treasury of the organ repertoire. This is music that combines grandeur, drama, and inner peace. The programme includes Johann Sebastian Bach, Théodore Dubois, Léon Boëllmann, and others. Free admission
